What is Restylane® Silk?
Similar to the other members of the Restylane family, Restylane Silk is a clear formula of hyaluronic acid, a naturally present sugar in your skin. Restylane Silk is specifically made to provide improvement in the delicate area of the lips with smoother, smaller particles. Once injected, Restylane Silk provides instant volume and fine line correction that patients see right after treatment.
The Treatment
With its specially made formula and an ultrafine needle for injection, Restylane Silk provides accurate and precise results for a natural enhancement of your smile. Dr. Kestin understands that the lips are one of the most prominent features of your face and strives to provide only natural results that are true to you that don’t look overdone. During treatment, Dr. Kestin will inject Restylane Silk meticulously in target areas that were determined in your initial consultation.
Some results are noticeable immediately following treatment, but the final results are seen about two weeks post-treatment. Most patients also report lip improvement up to six months after their session. Touch-up or follow-up treatments may be recommended or necessary to maintain these results for long-term effects.
The Risks
As with other hyaluronic acid injections, the most common side effect is temporary swelling and bruising at the injection site. Dr. Kestin will inform you of all the risks associated with Restylane Silk during your initial consultation. However, since it is a non-surgical treatment, risk level is very low.
