What is Juvéderm® Ultra Plus?

With a more enhanced filling ability than Juvéderm Ultra, Juvéderm Ultra Plus is still a hyaluronic acid formulation, but more stable and thicker to achieve more striking results. The Treatment
During treatment, Dr. Kestin will meticulously inject Juvéderm Ultra Plus into specified areas where facial wrinkles and folds occur. Ultra Plus is also injected deeper into the dermis than Ultra to effectively improve profound folds and wrinkles. The specific injection treatment varies based on your specific cosmetic concerns and desires.
The entire process should take no longer than one hour and there is no downtime required for this treatment. Most patients only need one session to reach their final goal and results last up to a year after treatment. Since this is a temporary solution, touch-up treatments may be necessary to maintain the results. However, patients can receive significant lip enhancement, improvement of deeper wrinkles, correction of volume loss, and desirable facial shaping without losing the characteristics that are true to them.
What are the Risks?
Side effects of Juvéderm Ultra Plus may include redness, firmness, swelling, bruising, itching, lumps, and pain at the injection sites. The effects are mild and generally disappear within a week.
